Prior to establishment of TCIB the directors were the owners of Scotsys, a Lanarkshire based information technology company supplying computer hardware, software, service and support. Having worked together from 1991 and created a business with a turnover in excess of £15m and with over 100 employees they sold the business to Adventi Ltd in 2005 and progressively exited the business over the next 2 years.

TCIB approached several companies and successfully tendered to provide the installation services required to install and service Interactive Audio Visual products on their behalf – mainly to Scottish Educational establishments.

These audiovisual products compose, in the main, of projectors, Interactive White Boards, Amplifiers, Speakers, DVD players and portable computers. There are also associated ancillary devices that are installed and, in some cases, programmed and supported.

TCIB became Smart authorised installers in early 2007 and Promethean authorised in October 2008. During this time TCIB have performed over 1000 interactive whiteboard installations in authorities throughout Scotland.

During 2008 TCIB continued to provide these basic AV installation works and further enhanced the offering by adding electrical, cabling and programming skills to the existing services.

In addition to AV accreditations the TCIB staff are fully trained in identifying hazards within the site environment, particularly asbestos. TCIB employees are Disclosure Scotland checked with 1 month of their contract start date. TCIB fully conform toNICEIC standards and are trained to 17th edition.
